Lots of art!

Prompt 1: Tarrant, Tarrant's two brothers and his sister (all played by Steven Pacey) used to be in a barbershop quartet.
Tarrant Quartet: http://clocketpatch.deviantart.com/art/Tarrant-Quartet-435893495
Characters: Tarrant, and Tarrant, and Tarrant, and Tarrant
Warnings: None
Media: Coloured pencil on paper
Prompt 2: Mpreg. More specifically, Avon mpreg. The reason he was looking so hard for Blake was because he had some wonderful news for him.

Characters: Avon
Warnings: None
Media: Pastel on paper, finished in GIMP
Prompt 3: Daemons. i don't even care who. Just want Daemon AU. Well, maybe leaning towards Vila. Yes, Vila daemon, that is what i want.
Vila Daemon: http://clocketpatch.deviantart.com/art/Vila-Daemon-435896206
Characters: Vila, Tarrant
Warnings: None
Media: Pencil on paper

Characters: Avon, Blake, Servalan
Warnings: None
Media: Acrylic on canvas
I choose a kea, New Zealand's mountain parrot, for Vila because keas are 1. notorious thieves, 2. deceptively adorable (according to Wiki, they are often described as "cheeky"), and 3. are able to survive in a harsh environment. They also kill and eat sheep, which isn't very Vila-like, but Vila is stronger than he looks and will do surprising things to survive. A parrot would also make a good assistant when picking locks.
Tarrant (not actually pictured because the paper wasn't big enough) is a nanny goat. Partially because of his curly hair, partially because of the kea-sheep thing, and partially because everyone would snark at him about it and I thought that would be hilarious.
Avon has a generic scorpion. I wanted to give him a daemon that would be easily misinterpreted and look good with black leather. Scorpions are venomous predators, but they are also surprisingly caring and protective parents. They can also be surprisingly adorable when you spray down their tanks to keep the humidity up.
Blake has a generic butterfly. He's been through many changes of self from pre-TWB Blake, to Brain-washed Blake, to Liberator!Blake, to Blake Blake, so an animal that undergoes a metamorphosis seemed appropriate. Also, it looked good artistically.
Servalan is a gecko. This is mostly because of the dress, but also because geckos will happily eat butterflies and scorpions. She's creepily breaking the daemon-touching taboo, because she would.
I ran out of time to draw them, but I came up with daemons for everyone else as well (because this is a thing I do, and because I love reading other people's daemon lists):
Jenna: Eagle
Cally: Moon cactus
Gan: Great Dane
Travis: Rottweiler
Dayna: Sea otter
Soolin: Snow leopard
I hope you enjoy your Blakefest gifts (I absolutely enjoyed making them!), and there should be fic as well… eventually.

Date: 2014-02-22 05:06 pm (UTC)i love the tarrant barbershop quarter one the best - they do all definitely look like stephen pacey (and the tarrant sister looks like a woman, BUT ALSO like stephen pacey. so this is particularly good). also - barbershop quartet. this was not my prompt, but 'm sure i've spoken to robin about it.
tarrant having a goat daemon is pretty much a stroke of genius, also. i will remember that one and reuse it. plus, the image of vila with a parrot on his head is brilliant - and i can definitely see it (admittedly there are visuals to help me out now ;) )
all in all, good stuff! and i'm glad you're using lbake fandom to get back into art.

Date: 2014-02-22 11:10 pm (UTC)I like your thinking on the daemons a lot, as well as liking how you've rendered them. They all seem dead on to me. I think it's cool how, although obviously we were thinking along the same lines for Blake, we came to such different conclusions.

Date: 2014-02-23 02:08 am (UTC)The Tarrant Quartet was the funnest thing ever to draw. I was literally laughing out loud and grinning while doing it, because it was so ridiculous, and colouring it was like having a ridiculous Tarrant-themed colouring book page to play with (speaking of which... if you or Robin, or anyone would like the line art for your own Tarrant-colouring pleasure, that can definitely be added to this post).
No clue why Blake fandom makes me want to draw things, but it is great. :D

Date: 2014-02-23 02:40 am (UTC)I adore your fic, and like what you did with Blake's daemon so much. It's one of those ideas that seems very obvious once stated, but isn't really. And it's awesome.

Date: 2014-02-28 09:41 pm (UTC)The Tarrants! Oh, i love how related they look! Fem!Tarrant has the same curls as our Tarrant (but with better styling) and DarkBrunet!Tarrant has a rubbish beard! Deeta is obviously really enjoying himself (he's obviously happier being a musician than being a mercenary) and the seriousness on our Tarrant's face, he's really bringing his all to hitting those notes.
And Poor Avon's belly - he must be so gutted not to be able to fit into his leathers. The determined sadness on his face, and how he's looking at the Liberator - that he's finally got off Blake and now he's using to get him back. Many weeps.
And Daemons. Nanny goat for Tarrant is perfect. Just: the stubbornness, and the hair, and wilfulness, but also the strange affection goats have (i'm pretty sure if goats were people, they'd be the kind of people who'd punch you in the arm to show affection.).
Everything you say about the Kea sounds brilliant for Vila. And their expressions! i can tell that she flew off just before Vila got butted, and then landed back on his head the moment he was down. Also, birds in HDM tend to be Witch-related, and i like the thought of Vila having a Witch mother.
Scorpion!! It is perfection!! She goes with his leather, and she will cuddle up Blake's daemon. Cuddling with Servalan's daemon is a much riskier prospect though.
And you painted two of these! Omg.

Date: 2014-03-01 01:11 am (UTC)I really should be thanking you though because art is a thing I really like doing... but basically never do unless I'm given a prompt and a deadline. So thank you for providing these things!
The Tarrants were the funnest to draw by... a lot. I did it over a night shift and was cackling to myself the whole time, because once the line art was done it was like having a Tarrant-themed colouring book page!
The Avon one was interesting. It's not painted. It's pastel, because I've got them and figured well... why not? But I suck at pastels so it went through a bunch of random filters in GIMP until it came out looking okay-ish. Poor Avon would be the worst pregnant person. He'd probably get ridiculously hormonal and be crying into ice cream or something and hating it (but also, he'd be the proudest father ever and teach his kid to defraud banking systems and things...)
The daemon prompt made me squee SO HARD, because it was a prompt I'd made myself so... YES! And I'm especially pleased you like Tarrant's goat. I hadn't even thought about witch mother for Vila, but that would make so much sense. ... there may be more daemon art in the future, because elviaprose's fic has made me inspired. :D
